Writing Retreats

Online Education
Learn at your own pace with these online courses by authors for authors using instructional sytems design strategies.
Coaching
Coaching sessions for particular topics are offered based on the coach's schedule.
Coaching services through EAR is a formal process that requires paperwork ahead of any scheduled meeting.

Live Online Events
Live events will be offered throughout the year at various times and taught by various professionals.
Writing sprints (a virtual meeting of writers to check in, write, and hold one another accountable) will be available. Please see schedule for more details.

About Our Education & Training
Evergreen Author Resources offers a variety of education and training options designed for beginner, intermediate, and advanced writers. Our offerings emphasze:

Personal preference: from in person to do it yourself with guidance and resourced (DIY) programming, every writer can explore alone or with a group.

Professional Instruction Materials: Courses, workshops, and training materials have been developed using an instructional design approach while working with subject matter experts (authors/writers/industry professionals) to ensure both academic and real-world content is presented.

Outstanding Instructors: Workshops and classes are led by professional and accomplished writers and industry professionals with the ability to facilitate learning in an authentic and engaging way.

Established in Western North Carolina, most in-person events will be held in this state; however, as EAR grows, there will be more opportunity for travel requests and additional destination based retreats, workshops, and masterminds. Please contact us for more information if your wiritng group or organization would like personalized curriculum tailored and delivered to you in your city or state.

Virtual events are designed to reduce transportation, space, and accessibility issues and will be offered throuhgout the year. If your writing group or organization would like to have a virtual curriculum developed, please contact us for more details.

Cancellation Policy
Registration fees are non-refundable after a class or workshop begins. Refunds will not be provided for missed sessions.

30 days or more before the start date: Full refund.

14 to 29 days before the workshop start date: Full refund minus a $25 cancellation fee.

Less than 14 days before start date: No refunds or transfers.
There are no refunds for missed days, early departure, or no-shows. Processing and material fees for classes and events are non-refundable.
Crowdfunding funds, membership dues, and other donations are non-reundable.
